About Our Facilities
IMC Magnetics' design and manufacturing facilities include two buildings in Tempe, Arizona totaling 60,000 square feet - the plants are located in an industrial area close to Arizona State University.
In addition, IMC has a production facility situated in Nogales, Mexico, approximately a two-and-a-half hour drive south of Tempe. This manufacturing site allows IMC Magnetics to produce its products at a lower cost, while meeting the high quality standards customers have grown to expect from IMC.
Manufacturing and production equipment at both locations include CNC lathes and mills, precision grinders by:
- Matsura
- Omni Turn
- Okuma
- Citizen
- Hardinge Conquest
- Nakamura-Tome and
- Robo-Drill
Resources include live tooling, and up to 2 1/2 inch bar capabilities, and 15-inch by 30-inch mill travel, as well as precision honing processing.
IMC Magnetics produces solenoid machined parts in-house, along with the components and machining of castings for the fan and motor line of products - this gives IMC the flexibility of total control of quality and production scheduling. If any manufacturing concerns arise, manufacturing engineers are on hand to resolve issues and set up process improvements.
