IMC Magnetics designs and manufactures solenoids for commercial and industrial markets, including proportional, AC, linear, custom, holding, DC, high temperature, and high pressure types. IMC also develops valves for the industrial and commercial sector, such as hydraulic control, fuel cut-off, microprocessor-controlled, fuel pressure, check and electromagnetic versions. Commercial and industrial applications for IMC Magnetics solenoid and valve products include components for automotive systems such as engine manifold, transmission, and suspension control, linear actuation and pneumatic control in production and manufacturing systems. In addition, IMC Magnetics produces commercial and industrial fans, including vane-axial, tube-axial, mixed flow and centrifugal types. IMC fans are used for air movement and circulation systems, smoke detectors, and electronic cooling. The quality of IMC Magnetics products is truly world-renowned.
IMC designs and manufactures solenoids, valves, fans, motors and
other components for customers in South America, Europe, Asia, Australia,
Canada and Mexico and the Caribbean.
An example of a commercial product that was successfully designed and manufactured by IMC was the development of a smaller, high-performance fan for business equipment and telecommunications applications. IMC Magnetics developed the fan based on technology adapted from its aerospace component core business. The fan, called the Sunflower, was the first one-inch thick, 172-millimeter fan on the market at the time that produced 240 cubic feet per minute airflow. The fan's outstanding performance was the result of a new, 13-blade impeller design.
