New Technology - The Force Motor
Background: Within the aerospace industry as well
as in the military heavy equipment area, there has been continued
reliance for more than 40 years on the torque motor ( a rotational,
proportional actuator) to control hydraulic systems. The advantages
of continued reliance on this technology include the fact that it
is proven, time-tested, and operates on low electrical current.
New Technology: In partnership with the Mineba Company Ltd., a Japanese conglomerate, IMC Corporation has developed a new technology to replace the traditional torque motor with the "Force Motor" - a linear, proportional actuator. The advantages of this new technology include:
- Increases product reliability and safety of operations
- Decreases product costs an average of 30%
- Continues to operate on low electrical input
- Introduced digital technology
- Provides longer proportional stroke (4-6 times longer) which
increases product functionality
IMC is Customer & Technology Driven
IMC is a Customer Driven Company. IMC employs a lean design and manufacturing philosophy that utilizes advanced technology from conceptual design through every step of product development and manufacturing.
