Tube-Axial Fans

For over half a century, IMC Magnetics continues to be a recognized
leader in the design, development, prototyping, manufacturing and
testing of tube axial fans for the aerospace, defense, and commercial
industries. IMC has designed and produced high quality, high performance
tube axial fans for a variety of aircraft, including commercial
and military planes, helicopters, and the like. IMC Magnetics developed
and manufactured tube axial fans for Fairchild that were used in
the Apache Longbow Helicopter. Tube axial fans can also be found
in electronic cooling, telecommunications, and other commercial/industrial
applications. Almost every tube axial fan that IMC develops is custom
engineered to meet the client's specific application and requirements.
Generally,
tube axial fans are comprised of a drive motor, a housing that is
cylindrically shaped, and a fan blade assembly that looks similar
to a propeller. Tube axial fans are known for high airflows and
relatively low operating pressures. Tube axial fans are typically
used in systems such as duct, intake and exhaust assemblies, as
well as harsh industrial/commercial environments where contaminated
and/or corrosive materials may be found. The efficiency of tube
axial fans can be as high as 65 percent.
The IMC Magnetics family of tube axial fans includes the Boxer Line, consisting of the Super Boxer, Pe-Wee Boxer, and Mini-Boxer tube axial fans. The Boxer group of fans is available in 60 Hz, 400Hz and multiple frequency versions, in 2.9 inch and 4.4 inch sizes. Also available from IMC Magnetics is the IMCool Fan Line of tube axial fans, comprised of the IMCool 300, 600, 700, 900, 1000, and 1200. The IMCool group of fans is available in 60 Hz and 400 Hz versions, in 2.9, 5.6, 6.2, 8.6, 9 and 12-inch sizes. Additionally, the IMC Laboratory conducts rigorous product testing on all fans from tests developed in accordance with the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) Standard 210.
